We noticed that we hadn't come up with any potential names for the band which would match their image and was suited towards them, so we began to compare The Ordinary Boys with other established bands currently on the scene, such as Arctic Monkeys, The Pigeon Detectives and The Libertines. As a group we needed to come up with a name that matched the style and looking of the band that we wanted to portray.
After a short while brainstorming the various names that we could come up with, we came to the decision of naming the band The Spies. We decided on this band name because we felt that it was fairly similar to what was already being used and it gave us the potential to work with it further to develop an identity and the opportunity to create interesting ancillary products.
Further to this, we also realised that the featured artist on the track, Lady Sovereign, would need renaming and again we went to back to the drawing board to come up with some ideas for names together. However, this time we wasn't looking for a name to fit within the indie genre, but instead what scouting for potential names that fit within the grime and hip-hop genre of music. Eventually, we came up with the idea to use the name Miss Currency, which could also by stylised with dollar signs, taking inspiration from various female rap artists, such as Miss Dynamite, whom Lady Sovereign also draws her inspiration from.
