He is also known for his productions for artists other than Justice who are signed to the Ed Banger Records label, including SebastiAn and DJ Mehdi, as well as directing for clients such as Duck Sauce, MGMT, Kayne West and Kid Cudi. His career is furthered by illustrating the cover art for many of Ed Banger Records' acts, namely Uffie, Busy P and again Justice, giving them their iconic look, and holding the role as a main designer for a clothing company.
The majority of music videos directed by So Me persistently commence with or feature graphics and illustrations, some of which are occasionally overlaid above or are embedded within the visual. This common ground between each of his videos is what I believe gives them their distinct style, flair and individuality and creates the sense that they are part of a collection.
A high proportion of his work experiments with camera angles, shots and techniques that we wouldn't necessarily consider using in our own projects, and he focuses especially on utilising low angles, tilted frames, hand-held and tracking shots, fast paced cutting and continuity editing as well as manipulating the speed of the playback, and more specifically turning takes into slow motion.
Although little to none of his videos comprise of any form of intertextuality or voyeurism elements, apart from Kayne West's Good Life, they are compliant of Goodwin's Theory and help to promote the artist or band by presenting them to the audience, which are in most cases, their fans.
